Search Engine Optimization Audit | Welcome Kit
Last updated on September 25, 2017 in Welcome Kits·linkCopy link
Postmedia’s first step in supporting your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts is conducting an audit of your website. Analyzing your website helps us evaluate how to make it more accessible for search engines. It also helps ensure a positive user experience for your prospects. We’ll provide a comprehensive audit outlining your current search engine ranking, as well as specific ways and costs associated with improving your SEO performance.
Welcome Call Checklist:
1. Company Information
Domains: A domain name is your website name. It’s the address where Internet users access your website. Please provide a list of all website or landing page domains that you own including .com, .ca, .co, .net, etc.
Competitors: To outrank your competitors, you need to know their strategy. We’ll help you with an SEO competitive analysis. Please provide website addresses for your top three competitors.
2. Previous SEO
Have you already put effort into SEO? Let us know what you have in place so that we can augment the strategy to improve your plan or build upon your SEO success.
3. Website Metrics
If you have access to performance reports for your website (such as Google Analytics), please provide reporting for the last three months. Understanding current metrics such as total sessions, traffic sources, return visitors and number of pages per session will give us a baseline from which we can improve your SEO.
4. Social Media Links
If you have existing social media accounts, we’ll need exact links. For example, to find your Facebook link:
- Sign in to your company’s Facebook business page
- Look in the address bar in your browser. Copy your Facebook Profile URL (web address)
5. Website Login Credentials
Please provide us with login credentials to your website’s content management system: web address, username and password. If you have a Google Analytics account, we’ll provide our Postmedia Gmail account address so that we can be added as an administrator on your account.
6. Your SEO Goals
On the Welcome Call, we’ll cover the different applications of SEO and talk about how to choose the right SEO objectives for your business. It’s best to plan 60 minutes for this call. During this conversation, we’ll also schedule a follow-up call to review your customized SEO audit report.
